Billing Admin is a workspace role with billing-only permissions. The role sees invoices, payment methods, the prepaid extra-usage balance, and seat-usage reports. It cannot open a brand, see a campaign, invite a creative member, or view creative work. Available on Small Team and above.
Why this role exists
In most agencies and in-house teams above a few people, finance and creative are different humans. A Brandflux workspace owned by the creative director needs a way to give the finance team access to invoices without giving them access to every campaign in flight. Granting Owner-level permissions over-grants. Granting no permissions creates manual invoice-forwarding work for the creative director and a control gap on payment methods.
Billing Admin fills that role cleanly. The CFO or finance ops lead gets the seat, can see what they need to see, and contributes nothing to the creative review or brand isolation surface.
Seat economics
A Billing Admin is a paid seat and counts against the workspace’s soft seat ceiling. Use it when finance and creative are different humans and Owner-level permissions over-grant. On Small Team, where the seat ceiling is 5, this means trading one creative seat for one finance seat. On Professional (15 seats) and Studio (unlimited), the trade-off vanishes.
What it does not do
Billing Admin is not an approval role. A Billing Admin cannot sign off on a campaign, cannot approve a variation, and cannot be added as a per-campaign Approver. The role is intentionally narrow because the work it covers is intentionally narrow.
